As the new 2011-2012 season kicks off, Derbyshire County FA have organised two FA Charter Standard in-service events for all our FA Charter Standard Clubs.
All FA Charter Standard Clubs are encouraged to bring along as many coaches as possible to attend the two sessions. All attendees are requested to bring notepads, pens and be dressed appropriately to participate or observe the practical sessions which will take place outdoors.
Event: FA Youth Award Module 1/Module 2 taster session
When: Wednesday 28th September
Venue: Lees Brook Community Sports College
Time: 6.30 – 9pm
Regional Coach Development Manager: John Griffiths
This session will provide coaches with better knowledge of the course content for both the Module 1 and Module 2. The FA Youth Award is a critical tool to support coaches working with young players and is an innovative qualification to further support the development of young players.
Event: Level 1/Level 2 Bridging session
When: Thursday 20th October
Venue: Glossopdale Community Sports College
Time: 6.30 – 9pm
Regional Coach Development Manager: Andy Poole
This session will provide better understanding to coaches on what the course content is for the Level 2 coaching course and the session will also emphasise the difference between a Level 1 coaching course and a Level 2 coaching course.
This is a fantastic opportunity for coaches to utilise the experience of Andy and John so I would definitely recommend attending at least one of the in-service events.
Please note that all FA Charter Standard Clubs are expected to attend in-service training to maintain their FA Charter Standard status.
