Derbyshire Sport - Coach Bursary fund
Bursary Conditions
The aim of the Coach Bursary Fund is to encourage and support the personal and professional development of coaches working in Derbyshire through subsidising the costs of coach education.
In order to be considered for a grant coaches, whether paid or voluntary, must be coaching in Derbyshire and fit into one of the categories below:
Coaching within a voluntary sector club
Sport Unlimited / Sportivate
Supporting talented athletes
Supporting young leaders
Working towards / achieved the Derbyshire Coach Mark
The maximum grant that can be claimed per organisation i.e. club in any two year period commencing 1 April is:
Level 1 - £600
Level 2 - £600
Coaches will be able to apply for a maximum of 50 per cent of the total cost up to a maximum of £200.

Recruit to Coach – (Derby Based Clubs Only)
What is the Recruit to Coach Project?
The Recruit to Coach Project aims to provide new coaches with the opportunity to access funding to help them gain new qualifications in sport. The project specifically aims to engage new people into coaching.
How much can a new coach apply for?
New coaches can apply for up to £320 to cover costs including:
• £150 for scholarship courses
• £50 for First Aid and Safeguarding and Protecting Children workshops
• CRB Clearance and volunteer expenses
As part of the grant conditions, each volunteer coach must receive a minimum of £150 scholarship which can be used for leader qualifications, coaching qualifications or generic workshops.
What are the criteria?
Coaches must be affiliated to a sports club based in Derby.
Coaches will be expected to complete 30 hours voluntary coaching at the club which they are placed with or already have membership with. This should be monitored by the club referee.

Cash 4 Clubs offers all sports clubs in the UK the chance to win grants ranging from £250 to £1000. It is a simple scheme aimed at giving community clubs a helping hand and provide the opportunity to raise the money they need to invest in their club.
Avalible to new and existing clubs -
• Affiliated clubs only.
• Between £250 and £1,000.
• Simple application form.
Examples of what they will fund:
• Training for Coaches to ensure they are all level 1 standard
• First aid training for coaches and new first aid equipment
