Disability Football

Disability Football Sessions Around Derbyshire

Wirksworth Colts FC (in partnership with Derbyshire County FA, Derby County in the Community, Derbyshire Dales District Council and Anthony Gell School) will be delivering disability football sessions for children aged 8-16 years of age at Wirksworth Leisure Centre on a Tuesday evening from 6.30pm-7.30pm in the indoor sports hall.

The sessions will commence on Tuesday 20th April 2010 and will run for a trial period of 10 weeks and are free of charge for this period.

The sessions are designed to develop players interest and ability in football within a fun and safe environment and where possible, all individual needs will be catered for. The coaches delivering are Fa qualified, have enhanced CRB checks and hold the relevant Emergency Aid and Child Protection qualifications.

Codnor Boys FC (in Partnership with Derbyshire FA and Derby County FC) are running Disability Football Sessions for 5-16 year olds at Aldercar Community Language College (Daltons Close, Langley Mill, NG16 4HL) on a Monday Evening 5.30-6.30pm (£3 per session).

Players can participate in fun based football sessions adapted to meet their individual needs. Training will take place on the 3G Astroturf, however, if there is bad weather then an indoor facility will be used.

All Coaches are FA Qualified, CRB checked and hold the relevant Emergency aid certificate.

Midway Football Club are running Disability Football Coaching Sessions in association with Derby County in the Community, Derbyshire FA, South Derbyshire School Sports Partnership and South Derbyshire District Council.

Tuesday Evenings starting 9th September, 5:30-6:30pm in Pingle School Sports Hall, Swadlincote, Derbyshire, DE11 0QA.

All sessions are free and are open to players from 5 to 16 years of age. The sessions are designed for players to enjoy fun based football coaching adapted to the player’s individual needs.

Sessions are run by FA qualified coaches who hold the relevant CRB checks and recognised Emergency Aid qualifications.

Chesterfield Disability Football Club

Disability Football sessions are being delivered at Queens Park Leisure Centre (3G Surface) on Tuesday evenings 6-7pm. The sessions are ran in partnership by Derby County in the Community, Chesterfield FC Football in the Community, Chesterfield Borough Council, and 4 local Charter Standard football clubs.

The sessions cost £1.50 per player and is payable at the main reception of the leisure centre. Players aged from 8-16 years of age are welcome and all disabilities are catered for within the sessions. All sessions are adapted to suit the individual needs of all players who participate and are delivered by FA qualified coaches who hold the relevant Child Protection and Emergency Aid qualifications.

Hilton Harriers Disability Football

Hilton Harriers FC are working in partnership with Derby County in the Community, Derbyshire FA and South Derbyshire District Council to provide opportunities for young people with disabilities to access football. The new disability football sessions will be taking place at Etwall Leisure Centre (Hilton Road, Etwall, Derbyshire) every Thursday from the 19th of November from 6pm to 7pm in the indoor sports hall. The sessions are free to all participants aged between 8 and 16 and are designed to ensure that all players can be included fully within the session.

The sessions will be delivered by FA qualified coaches who also hold the relevant Emergency first aid and Child protection qualifications.
