Grow the Game (Previously the Small Grants Scheme) - The next funding window has yet to be annonced.
This funding pot aims to increase participation by both players and volunteers by supporting the cost associated with providing a new activity. Percentage of support varies but it will not exceed 90% of the total project cost.
Grow the Game provides funding to contribute towards a combination of the following essential costs associated with providing new football activity:
Facility hire
Hire of FA qualified coaches and referees
CRB checks
Affiliation fees
League entry
First aid kits
Promotion and publicity
FA coaching courses
Organisations setting up one team are able to receive £2,500 over two years with financial support being reduced in the second year of the project.
For organisations setting up two or more teams a £5,000 grant is available over two or three years with financial support being reduced in the second or third year of the project.

Due to an oversubscription of applications The Junior Kit Scheme is Closed until further notice -
Junior Kit Scheme is to support Under 18s teams and adult teams with disabilities by offering kit and/or equipment up to the value of £400. Schools may receive this grant every three years and clubs may apply for two grants every three years as long as one application is for a girl’s team and one for a boy’s team.

The Goalpost safety scheme provides funding for the replacement of unsafe goalposts. The Football Foundation will assist in the funding of 50% towards the cost of a pair of goals up to the ceiling of £3,000.

The Facilities Scheme gives grants for projects that:
Improve facilities for football and other sport in local communities
Sustain or increase participation amongst children and adults regardless of background, age or ability
The types of facilities funded include:
Grass pitches drainage/improvements
Pavilions, clubhouse and changing rooms
Fixed floodlights
Artificial turf pitches

Derbyshire Sport - Coach Bursary fund
Coaches can apply for a maximum of 50% of thr total cost of a course or £200 whichever is the lowest. Application forms and further details can be found on the Derbyshire Sport website:

There is a limit cap of £600 per club per season for level one coaching courses.
Cash 4 Clubs
Cash 4 Clubs offers all sports clubs in the UK the chance to win grants ranging from £250 to £1000. It is a simple scheme aimed at giving community clubs a helping hand and provide the opportunity to raise the money they need to invest in their club.
Avalible to new and existing clubs -
• Affiliated clubs only.
• Between £250 and £1,000.
• Simple application form.
Examples of what they will fund:
• Training for Coaches to ensure they are all level 1 standard
• First aid training for coaches and new first aid equipment

Wells Sport Foundation
The Sports Grants Scheme has been established to create a lasting legacy for future generations through the development of club sport. Grants of between £500 and £2,000 are available to sports clubs to support worthwhile projects.
We are looking to fund projects that support the development and sustainability of sports clubs. For example - projects that need equipment that is specifically focused on increasing participation, CRBs for volunteers, coaching qualifications and refereeing/umpiring courses.
Clubs applying must have FA Charter Standard Status.
The closing date for grant applications is the 10th of every month.
