All Leagues are eligible to become RESPECT Leagues and details on how to apply are available through the Football Association – currently all leagues in Derbyshire are supporting the Respect Programme so educational support is being offered to all individuals involved in the game including Referees.
All match officials are required to attend a Respect Workshop, which focuses on techniques involving working with the captain, spectator areas and dealing with dissent. Your Respect Lead Officer will send details of workshops throughout the season.
Match Officials can also assist the FA by completing monitoring and evaluation after each game within a Respect League. A representative from the league or Derbyshire County Football Association will contact you if you are required to undertake this process. This will help the FA monitor the effectiveness of Respect and also challenge clubs and individuals who are not adhering to the Respect programme.
