At Derbyshire County Football Association, our main aims are to provide more opportunities for girls and women to get involved with football in the County, whether that be in a playing, coaching, officiating, volunteering or administrating capacity.
This work extends to supporting and enhancing existing provision of football in Schools, Junior Football Clubs, Local Authority Sports Development Sections, Football in the Community Schemes and other key deliverers and providers relative to Derbyshire.
A priority is to ensure sustainability within the sport and to ensure that there is always an exit route for those engaged in football. This is done by work in the following key areas:
- SCHOOL DEVELOPMENT AND SCHOOL-CLUB LINKS
- CLUB DEVELOPMENT
- CENTRE OF EXCELLENCE
- WOMEN’S FOOTBALL DEVELOPMENT
- LEAGUE DEVELOPMENT
- INCLUSION WORK
- INCREASING THE PROFILE OF GIRLS’/WOMEN’S FOOTBALL
