Female Mentoring Scheme

Derbyshire County FA’s objective is to increase the Female Football workforce within the County. The Female Coach Mentoring Programme is aimed at developing and supporting female Level 1, newly qualified Level 2 football coaches and those that are looking to attend one of these courses.

Derbyshire County FA Female Mentoring Scheme Re-launch
Derbyshire County FA is re-launching its Female coach mentoring scheme early next year (2012). The scheme will include workshops & practical demonstrations to:

• Improve technical and professional skills
• Develop further knowledge and understanding
• Improved competence in coaching
• Helpful attitudes and habits (e.g. confidence, organisation)
• Awareness of potential coaching pathways
• Clarity about personal values and goals
• Guest speakers

The Mentoring program is aiming to increase knowledge and confidence of active coaches and to give these coaches ongoing support. From this we hope that the coaches will develop as effective coaches working with their players and reach their potential.
