Contact your County Welfare Officer
If you have any questions relating to any aspect of your role including CRB checks, implementing best practice, training opportunities, policy and procedures or if you need to make a referral you can contact me on 01332 361422 or by email cath.morton@derbyshirefa.com . I will also be happy to talk to your club members or present information on Safeguarding Children at any club meetings/ events. It is important to remember you are not alone- and that safeguarding children is the responsibility of everyone.

CRB Checks
All Club Welfare Officers will need to complete a CRB Enhanced Disclosure and identify other adults within the club who need them. Club Welfare Officers must be in the ‘process’ of completing a CRB check before the affiliation of the 2008-09 season. Here is a step-by-step guide to the FA CRB process.

1 Contact the FA CRB Unit and request ‘Pack 1’- 0845 210 80 80
2 The CWO is checked first and ‘Pack 2’ will be sent to the CWO once to check is complete.
3 Pack 2 contains all the necessary information to process other club members.

The ‘identified’ people within clubs who are eligible for a CRB check are;
* Assistant Welfare Officer
* Managers
* Coaches
* Medics- people who administer First Aid
* Nominated drivers

The FA CRB check will cost £12.00 which covers all administration costs, online access, and continued support and guidance. Cheques should be made payable to ‘FACRB’

For all queries relating to the FA CRB process please contact 0845 210 80 80
