Equality Workshop

Derbyshire CFA have organised an Equality Workshop for all Managers, Referees, Volunteers, Parents, Football Club Administrators and Charter Standard Clubs. 

Who is the FA Equality Workshop aimed at?
For all Managers, Referees, Volunteers, Parents, Football Club Administrators and Charter Standard Clubs.

This workshop has been designed to:

- Support the objectives outlined in the national Game Strategy.

- Raise awareness and knowledge of equality in football.

- Identify issues & barriers and guide appropriate action plans.

- Cover all equality issues - women and girls, disability, ethnic minorities, young / older people and other socially excluding factors.

Benefits of the Workshop:

- Knowledge of legislation and terminology e.g. equality, diversity, sports equality and equal opportunities.

- An understanding of the demographics of England and football and the benefits and barriers to equality.

- Knowledge of the most up to date diversity sensitive language and behaviour.

- Understanding of the organisations grievance / complaints procedure.

- Recognition of unfair, inappropriate and illegal behaviour and state how to challenge and report it.

Workshop1: Thursday 22nd May 2008 6.30pm - 9.30pm

Workshop 2: Tuesday 3rd June 2008 6.30pm - 9.30pm

Both workshops will take place at Derby County FC’s Pride Park Stadium

Cost: £10.00 per workshop
