The role of a coach is so important, your skills are essential for the development of players at every level of football. In youth football especially, every child’s first impressions of the game will be made by the environment and skills that club coaches offers at training sessions and at a game. In order to give their players the best opportunities to develop, achieve their maximum potential and to enjoy the game, coaches need to be aware of the latest techniques and philosophies involved in coaching the game.

Derbyshire County FA aims to provide a comprehensive package for all coach education needs.
Education is a great way to improve your knowledge, understanding and expertise in football, so whatever your experience in the game, there is always something new to learn. Derbyshire County FA is committed to developing football across the county. The courses we offer coaches are packed with expert knowledge and cover all areas of player development.

There are three stands of the coaching pathway:

The main strand covers the entry Level One award in coaching up to the UEFA Pro License (held by top and national side managers)
Specialist courses consist of Goalkeeping courses, Futsal, Disability Football and Coaching Adults.
Age Appropriate coaching courses that look at youth coaching, the FA Youth Modules.
