Keely Brown (County Development Manager)
Keely Brown was appointed as County Development Manager in March 2008, following three successful years as Football Development Officer for Girls and Women’s Football at Derbyshire County Football Association.
Keely’s role includes supporting investment and funding opportunities, facility development and leading the Football Development Team in implementing the FA’s National Game Strategy.
She has previously worked as a Sports Development Officer for Stoke-on-Trent City Council and as a Football Development Officer at Wimbledon FC and Port Vale FC.
Keely is a FA Level 3 football coach and FA Junior Football Organiser’s tutor and is a season ticket holder at Port Vale FC.
Football Development Officer
Liam Rooney
Liam Rooney started as Football Development Officer on Monday 1st December 2008. He previously worked as a Sports Development Officer at East Staffordshire Borough Council for 6 years.
Liam’s role includes:-
· Oversee Coach Education Programme
· Charter Standard Club Programme
· Charter Standard League Pilot
· School-Club Link Programme
· Support LA Football Focus Groups
Liam is a keen Liverpool FC supporter and plays for a local team in the Burton & District Sunday League.
Football Development Officer (Women’s and Girls)
Angie Harper
Angie Harper was originally appointed as Football Development Administrator in July 2008. As from November 2008 Angie was appointed as the Women’s and Girls Football Development Officer.
Angie graduated from University of Derby in 2006 with a BA (Hons) in Sports Studies. She is also a Level 1 football and hockey coach.
Angie’s role encompasses:
Increasing female participation and supporting club/league development particularly through the school-club links programme and the FA Charter Standard Scheme;
Recruiting and supporting female coaches, volunteers, young leaders, tutors and referees;
Ensuring that Talent Development is delivered through the FA Centre of Excellence;
Supporting and developing opportunities for under-represented groups, particularly players with disabilities and players from minority ethnic communities.
Assistant Football Development Officer
Zoë Toombs
Zoë Toombs was appointed as Football Development Administrator in July 2008. However as from November 2008 Zoë was appointed Assistant Football Development Officer.
Zoë recently graduated from University of Wolverhampton with a BA (Hons) in Sports Studies. She is a Level 1 Football coach and helps coach a local team.

Philippa Bass
Philippa was appointed Football Development Administrator in December 2008.
Philippa graduated in 2001 from Coventry University with a BSc (Hons) in Sport Science. She has been in an administrative background since leaving university.
