Derbyshire County FA in partnership with the Institute of Groundsmanship (IOG) has organised an End of Season Workshop for Grassroots Football Club Groundsmen in the County.
Following the on-going success and keen interest in our previous Groundsman Workshops; Derbyshire County FA has now organised another Workshop that will focus on dealing with end of season / close season preparation pitch works.
We continue to work in partnership with the IOG’s Regional Pitch Advisor Tom Rowley to deliver The FA’s Pitch Improvement Programme supporting clubs and their groundsmen across the County.
This workshop is ideal for all grassroots groundsmen in Derbyshire who have the responsibility of maintaining and looking after their club’s pitch/es.
This particular Workshop will focus on dealing with end of season and associated close season preparation, whilst there will be the opportunity to share some excellence tips, advice and contacts in which to support the work of Groundsmen, such as grounds maintenance machinery, sand, seed, fertilizer and line marking paints.
The session will involve some indoor discussion / presentations and then some outdoor elements (pitch side at Derby County FC), so please come dressed appropriately for the weather conditions.
The evening will also be supported by The FA’s National Pitch Improvement Programme (PIP) partners, Charterhouse and Rigby Taylor.
Details of the Workshop are as follows:
