New Course Launch 2017-18 Season

We are pleased to announce that the first batch of courses for the new season has now been released!

In the first batch you will be able to enrol on courses such as the FA Level 1, FA Level 2 and Goalkeeping Level 1 as well as a Safeguarding Children Workshop and an Emergency First Aid course.  

More courses will follow over the next few months so please keep an eye out on our social media channels for more information. These will include:

  • FA Level 3 (UEFA B) *New for 2017-18*
  • Goalkeeping Level 2
  • Futsal Level 1
  • Futsal Level 2 *New for 2017-18*

If you want to plan ahead, we have produced a calendar which will allow you to see where the rest of courses will most likely fall. You can view this here. It will not be possible to book onto these courses just yet, but we will inform you when they go live.

Prices are anticipated to be similar to the current season, but may be subject to change. If an individual is a part of a Derbyshire Charter Standard Club, they can access the Charter Standard rate. To do this, prior to booking, you can contact your Club Secretary, who will be issued with a promotional code shortly, or email footballeducation@derbyshirefa.com stating your name, club name, FAN number and the course you wish to enrol on.

 

New booking system for FA Level 1 & Level 2

There have been changes to the way learners book onto the Level 1 and Level 2 courses, this is now done through the FA’s new home of learning.

By booking on this way you will be able to access the online modules immediately.  This system also forms the Record of Learning and allows online access to Safeguarding Children & Emergency First Aid Certificates, which are available to download and/or print upon successful completion of the relevant module.

Online Modules:

If a candidate cannot access the online modules, please ensure they are:

  • Using a Windows laptop or Computer
  • Pop ups are unblocked

Please note, as this is a new system you may experience some issues, please bear with us as we will try our upmost best to resolve them for you.

Terms and Conditions

100% Attendance during the course is essential - failure to attend part of the course is unacceptable and will result in you not being able to take part.  There is no capacity to catch up any missed sessions on the course.

The Charter Standard Discount Code is for use by Derbyshire Clubs Only - incorrect use of this code will result in the additional payment being requested and paid, or could result in your booking being cancelled.

Course Cancellations & Transfers:

Should a candidate wish to cancel or transfer their place on a course, they need to notify DCFA as soon as possible by emailing the Football Education Department - FootballEducation@Derbyshirefa.com

Course Cancellation:

Our courses are in high demand and, by not informing us that you are unable to attend, you are preventing another candidate from attending the course.

The following charges will apply to all cancellations:

• If cancellation is made more than 10 working days* prior to the course start date a refund will be given of the total course fee less a 10% of this fee to cover for an administrational charge.
• If between 3-10 working days* notice is provided a 50% refund will be given of the total course fee paid.
• If less than 2 working days* notice is provided no refund will be given.

Course Transfers:

If a candidate wishes to transfer to a different course the following charges apply:

• If notification is provided more than 15 working days* prior to the start date of the course no fee will be charged.
• If notification is provided between 10 – 15 working days* prior to the start of the course there will be a 10% (of the total course fee) administrational charge.
• If notification is provided between 3-10 working days* prior to the start of the course there will be a 50% (of the total course fee) administrational charge.
• If notification is provided less than 2 working days* prior to the start of the course the candidate will not be able to transfer. They will lose their course place on the course and will need to re-book on to another course at full cost.

*DCFA defines working days as the days in which the Football Education department of DCFA are open, which is currently Monday to Friday.

Consideration will be given to candidates who, for health reasons or exceptional circumstances are unable to attend and require a transfer to another course. A letter from a Doctor or medical professional may be requested.
