DCFA Young Leader Management Team

Recruitment Begins for DCFA YLMT

Derbyshire FA
Young leaders in Derbyshire encouraged to join the Young Leader Management Team

Derbyshire County FA are currently recruiting for the Young Leader Management Team (YLMT) and encourage young leaders who are currently involved in school or club leadership to get involved and put themselves forward for the YLMT.

The Young Leader Management Team was introduced in 2013 as an opportunity for Derbyshire young volunteers to be part of a group that gave young people a voice for the county, and establish a pathway from school volunteering to club and county level involvement in leadership.

The YLMT is for individuals aged 16-24 years old and the team meet 4 times per year to plan and deliver the agreed action plan. As a group, the YLMT organise and deliver leadership events that upskill and develop the next generation of leaders and raise the profile of young people within the county. Previously, this has involved female only leadership event delivery, leadership camps for the county and referee development events.

Previous members of the YLMT have represented the county at the annual FA Leadership Academy and have been instrumental in the development of future young leaders.

The team is perfect for young people who are interested in getting involved with football leadership in the future or who are currently involved in leadership at a school or football club.

The opportunity to be part of the team is beneficial for your CV and there are opportunities through the YLMT to represent the county at national leadership events.
