The FA's We Only Do Positive Respect Campaign

Parents in Sport Week

Derbyshire FA
The Child Protection in Sport Unit’s national ‘Parents in Sport Week’ returns!

The Child Protection in Sport Unit (CPSU) are holding their national ‘Parents In Sport Week’ between Monday 1st and Sunday 7th October 2018.

We are supporting the initiative and would like ask our club and leagues to engage with their parents in how they can get positively involved in football activities. You can find out more about the initiative by clicking here

The initiative links in to The FA’s Respect ‘We Only Do Positive’ campaign, so it would be a good opportunity to ensure parents are aware of how they can play a part and contribute towards a positive environment. The new Codes of Conduct and parent Respect films can be found on The FA’s website.

This is a chance for clubs to showcase their creativity and show how they will engage directly with parents. Why not try something new? It could be an event for parents, or a change in your policy that ensures parents are more involved in the sporting lives of their children.

If you plan any activities please let us know so that we can showcase best practice. If you would like us to deliver a Respect talk to parents during this week please contact our County Welfare Officer & Respect Lead Officer, Cath, on cath.morton@derbyshirefa.com.
