Two further leagues are being introduced by the Derbyshire Girls and Ladies League

The DGLL are introducing two new leagues to ease the transition into adult football, with completely free membership for next season.

An under-18s division will be rolled out in time for the start of the 2019/20 season, and the DGLL will also be introducing an under-19s division in time for 2020/21.

The new divisions are being introduced to aid the transition in to adult football, and will help to support teams at under-16s and under-17s level.

Players progressing through the age groups often find that the step up in to open-age football is too great, and it can often act as a deterrent for younger players, so the decision to introduce two new leagues should contribute to making that progression easier.

As part of the promotion of this age group, the DGLL in conjunction with DCFA are pleased to confirm that all membership fees, including player registration and cup final fees, will be completely free of charge for the 2019/20 season.
