Applications open for new Wildcats centres

Derbyshire FA clubs can now apply to become new Wildcats centres to provide 5-11-year-old girls an opportunity to play football.

In order to apply to become one of our Wildcats centres, contact Lauren Duarte-Mellor, Football Development Officer for the Female Pathway, at lauren.duarte-mellor@derbyshirefa.com, or on 01332 361422.

The Wildcats campaign was introduced by The FA in 2018 to provide 5-11 year old girls an opportunity to have fun, make friends, and play football in a girls-only environment.

Since, 29 Wildcats centres have been set up in Derbyshire, part of 1,268 centres nationally, delivered by over 2,500 coaches and volunteers to over 20,000 girls.

The aim of Wildcats centres is to contribute to doubling female participation in football by 2020, and you can be a part of it.
