Youth Football

Get involved and start your journey

GIRLS FOOTBALL IN DERBYSHIRE IS THRIVING.

There are so many exciting opportunities for girls to get into the local grassroots game across the county and we are here to help support you do that.

Since the introduction of Wildcats Centres across England in 2018, the number of girls getting involved in football has increased dramatically.

The Wildcats Centres are for girls aged 5-11 years old and the impact of these centres has been extremely positive across our county.

Across Derbyshire, we have seen an increase in the number of youth female participants and lots of new teams also being created.

The Derbyshire Girls and Ladies League now offer opportunities from U9s and in the forthcoming seasons, if the demand continues to increase there will be opportunities from U8s through to U18s and then to open aged.

If you would like to find out more about girls football within the county and the opportunities available, please use the contact details on the right hand side.
