Derbyshire FA announce partnership with ASC Cloud

Providing coaches access to a state-of-the-art platform to plan, do and review training sessions

Derbyshire FA are delighted to partner with ASC Cloud (Academy SOCCER Coach) to provide coaches within the county the opportunity to connect with a state-of-the-art platform to plan, do and review training sessions.

Despite the success of the Derbyshire FA Coaches Community last season, it became apparent that coaches locally are facing challenges in finding the time to effectively plan, do and review training sessions within the parameters that are encouraged by The FA and local CPD education.

Directly addressing this, Derbyshire FA have partnered with ASC Cloud. This project will allow coaches access to the ASC Cloud platform to support the content-creating development of the coaching community, with a specific lens on underrepresented groups such as the female, black and Asian communities.

An ASC licence will include access to Derbyshire FA branded and secure content-creating platforms for the men’s, women’s, and para platforms. Furthermore, built into the license is the corresponding animation tool to further enhance the user experience.  This will enable coaches who interact with the platform to plan sessions quickly & effectively directly on their phone, laptop, or computer. This is in addition to the banks of sessions already on the platform as well as the sessions already available through England Football Learning website.

The project will enable the DCFA Coaches Community to interact with other coaches through the platform to add notes, feedback and observations to sessions that have been created in a safe place. The ability to animate and use videos will be powerful for the users that prefer to learn and communicate visually, ensuring that the platform has flexibility and a wide ranging of functionality.

Time constraints in the grassroots coaching world is one of the single biggest barriers to an adult coach in Derbyshire feeling like they are well prepared and delivering a quality session to their players. This project aims to address this through a fully functioning accessible and easy to access session creation platform with coach and player development underpinning the whole project.

Phil Abbott, Director at ASC Cloud said:

“We are honoured and excited to be working with Derbyshire FA on this new and exciting initiative, which provides enhanced support to their coaches, clubs and stakeholders across all levels of the game, along with access to quality assured, best practice resources developed by the association, building upon their existing football development programmes and continuing growth of the game across the county.”
