U17 Euro Finals Draw Made At SGP
All 16 nations that have qualified for the finals, which England are hosting for the first time at venues across the Midlands and South Yorkshire from May 4th-20th, attended the draw at St. George’s Park.
Steve Cooper’s Young Lions head up Group A alongside Switzerland, Italy and Israel, with their first game taking place at Chesterfield FC on Friday 4th May (7pm).
Their second game will be against Italy at Walsall FC on Monday 7th May (3pm), before they head to Rotherham on Thursday 10th May (7pm) for their final group match against the Swiss. Tickets for all three England games are on sale now.
The draw was hosted by former Arsenal and England star Alex Scott and was made by England’s record goalscorer and tournament ambassador Wayne Rooney, who starred at the annual competition in Denmark back in 2002, and UEFA’s Youth & Amateur Football Committee Chairman John Delaney.
Three more venues – Burton Albion, Loughborough University and St. George’s Park – are also hosting fixtures.
The UEFA European Under-17 Championship Final will be played at Rotherham United on Sunday 20th May.
