Due to the small window previously allocated, we have decided to extend the deadline for individuals to apply for the Head of Development and Facilities role. This is an exciting opportunity to join the Derbyshire County FA team and play an important part in grassroots football.

If you’ve got the experience and knowledge to lead on the Facility and Investment element of the Strategy, as well as experience of working closely with colleagues at the Football Foundation, Local Authorities, The FA and other stakeholders alongside managing the Football Development area of grassroots football in Derbyshire, this could be an important role for you.

This position reports directly to the Chief Executive and being part of the Senior Management Team and will lead a team of development staff to co-ordinate and implement the National Game Strategy within the County with a major involvement with facilities and investment.

The role encompasses the following areas:

• Strategic planning
• Managing a team of dedicated staff
• National Game Strategy – 2018-2021
  • To implement the Derbyshire specific version of the National Game Strategy
  • Lead on the Facility and Investment element of the Strategy working closely with colleagues at the Football Foundation, Local Authorities, The FA and other stakeholders.

You need to be passionate about and committed to the development of football at a local level. You must be able to work under pressure, handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines. In addition you must have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to positively influence at all levels, have a proven track record of managing staff. You will also need to have a current driving licence and be able to work evenings and weekends.
