The Elite Referee Course, delivered in partnership by Derbyshire County FA, Derby County FC and Derby County Community Trust, is a first of its kind.

The Course is aimed at potential candidates aged 14+ who have the desire and determination to officiate within the Professional Game. They will be trained and developed by FA Tutors and Developers at state of the art facilities at Derby County Football Academy and will receive the FA Referee Qualification. 

The course will be delivered by FA Referee Tutors at the state of the art facilities at Derby County Football Academy.

The candidates will be taught the basics of how to referee and will be mentored by FA Developers to improve their skill set and increase their knowledge. They will also develop a number of skills including professionalism and communication. 

As part of the course candidates will need to referee a number of matches and these will include regularly officiating at Derby County Academy and Derby County RTC.
