intro to coaching football

New Introduction to Coaching Football course launched

England Football has launched the new online Introduction to Coaching Football course for anyone currently coaching or looking to get into coaching.

Enrolment in the course is officially open for a cost of £160, and includes ongoing support from England Football for another 11 months after you’ve finished the qualification which includes live webinars, advice and access to our online community, so you have all the help you need to put what you’ve learned into practice.

This course is delivered entirely online through a combination of live webinars, e-learning, on-demand resources and community groups where you can chat and share ideas with other coaches who are taking the course.

You must complete the free BT Playmaker by England Football course before you enrol on Introduction to Coaching Football. This will help you learn the brilliant basics of football and will teach you how to support the delivery of fun, safe and inclusive sessions and games. You’ll then build on these skills in the Introduction to Coaching Football course.

Please note, this course is delivered by England Football, not your County FA. As part of their new 4-year strategy to further improve support to coaches and the game FA Education will take on full responsibility for delivering all coach education courses.

So far, along with the Introduction to Coaching Football course, the redeveloped and relaunched courses have been the Safeguarding Children Workshop, Introduction to First Aid in Football, and Welfare Officers Workshop.

The following courses are currently being reviewed, both in terms of content and delivery, Level 2 in Coaching Football, FA Level 3 in Coaching Football (UEFA B), Levels 1 and 2 in Coaching Goalkeepers, Levels 1 and 2 in Coaching Futsal, and Emergency First Aid in Football.
