The first final of the 2022/23 County Cups has now been revealed, as both Shirebrook Soldiers  and Tintwistle Athletic Reserves were successful in their Junior Cup North semi-final matches during the weekend. 

Both teams entered the competition in the First Round.

Shirebrook Soldiers played Dove Holes Reserves in the First Round, coming away with a convincing 7-1 victory against the High Peak side. Next, in the Quarter Final, Shirebrook welcomed Whaley Bridge Athletic Development to the Model Village Sports Ground, beating them 4-1. The Soldiers confirmed their place in the final with a tight 2-1 Semi Final win against Cromford & Wirksworth Town Reserves.

Tintwistle began their journey in the First Round at home against The 19^th Hole FC, beating them 4-2. The Quarter Final saw Tintwistle win comfortably by 3-0 against Bakewell Town Development. In the Semi Final, Tintwistle beat Furness Vale Reserves 4-0, joining Shirebrook Soldiers as cup finalists.
