Mental Health Workshops
Derbyshire FA are delighted to work in partnership with Erewash Voluntary Action, on a mission to improve mental health awareness in Derbyshire.
Below are the mental health training opportunities and workshops available in our county. These are fully funded for people in statutory, community and voluntary sectors working with Derbyshire County and City residents.
Mental Health Workshops
Provider: Erewash Voluntary Action
Length: 45 minutes - 1 hour
Delivery: Face-to-face or online
Ideal for anyone who would like to learn about mental health and signposting to local services. Resources are provided.
Adult Mental Health First Aid
Provider: DCC Adult Education
Length: F2F - 2 consecutive full day. Online - 4 live training sessions over 2 weeks (2-3 hours per session) Self-learning in-between.
Delivery: Face-to-face or online
Ideal for individuals who interact with vulnerable adults and want to learn the skills to identify, understand and help someone experiencing mental health issues.
Adult Mental Health First Aid
Provider: DCC Adult Education
Length: F2F - 2 consecutive full day. Online - 4 live training sessions over 2 weeks (2-3 hours per session) Self-learning in-between.
Delivery: Face-to-face or online
Ideal for individuals who work with young people aged 8 - 18, and want to learn the skills and develop confidence to spot the signs of mental health issues.
Mental Health Awareness
Provider: Harmless Let's Talk!
Length: 1/2 day
Delivery: Online only
Ideal for public facing roles that require general mental health knowledge. This is only eligible to County residents, not Derby City.
Suicide Awareness & Prevention
Provider: Rural Action Derbyshire
Length: 1/2 day
Delivery: Online only
Ideal for public facing roles and people that come into contact with individuals at risk of suicide. This is only eligible to County residents, not Derby City.
Zero Suicide Alliance Training
Provider: Zero Suicide Alliance
Length: 20 minutes
Delivery: Online only
Ideal for public facing roles and people who come in contact with individuals at risk of suicide and anyone who would like to upskill and have more awareness around suicide prevention. This is free of charge for any individual who would like to participate.
