Geoff Weir presented with Long Service Award by the FA

The Chesterfield Sunday League Vice President Geoff Weir has been involved in the game since 1969

Chesterfield & District Sunday League Vice President Geoff Weir has been presented with the Long Service to Football Award by The FA.

 

Geoff Weir’s long and indebted service to the wonderful game started in 1969 when he became the Club Secretary for New Whittington FC. In 1972, he became a Committee Member of Chesterfield Sunday League and throughout the next 50 years has held a number of key positions within the League Committee, including Assistant League Secretary, Fixtures Secretary, Chairman and most recently, Vice President.

 

Everyone at Derbyshire FA would like to say a huge congratulations to Geoff for his excellent service to the game in our county.
