Derbyshire FA and Cawarden raise £500 for The Titan Children's Trust
Derbyshire County Football Association and Cawarden have presented a cheque of £500 to the Derby-based children’s charity, The Titan Children’s Trust.
The money was raised at Derbyshire FA’s Grassroots Football Awards ceremony held at Pride Park Stadium on Friday 15th September. The event, sponsored by locally based destruction-to-construction specialists Cawarden, celebrated football’s volunteer workforce in Derbyshire and saw attending members raise the maximum amount of £500.
2023 is a special year for Derbyshire FA as they are celebrating their 140th anniversary. Cawarden are the official season-long sponsor of this significant milestone, showcasing their commitment to supporting the local community and improving the lives of people through the power of football.
The Titan Children’s Trust launched in 2015 and supports underprivileged and disadvantaged children in the East Midlands. By providing them with access to a range of sports and activities, the charity helps them to develop life skills and have positive experiences.
Ryan Haynes, Football Operations Manager of Derbyshire FA, and William Crooks, Managing Director of Cawarden, presented the £500 cheque to the charity’s founder Felix Frixou. The cheque presentation took place last month at Felix’s specialist car dealership, Benz Bavarian of Derby.

William Crooks, Cawarden Managing Director said: “I’m incredibly proud to present this cheque to The Titan Children’s Trust. Cawarden are huge supporters of this charity and its vital work.”
Felix Frixou, founder of The Titan Children’s Trust said: “I am very grateful to Derbyshire FA and Cawarden for this donation to The Titan Children’s Trust. This sum of money will help us to continue helping disadvantaged children across the East Midlands.”
The money raised will support The Titan Children’s Trust in their continuing effort to offer disadvantaged children recreational opportunities and practical life skills.
